Parker Higgins figures out that possession eventually led to the Laymil’s destruction and become skeptical about involvement of Kiint in the Laymil Research Project (tNA). He discuss the implications of the finding with Confederation officials, navigating outside the Tranquillity after a very long time. His inability to negociate led to accepting the Trafalgar’s offer to continue research with the aim to find a cure for, or rather a weapon against possession. He also accepts colaboration with, and disclosure of information to the Confederation Navy, despite previous attitude of Tranquillity. However, Ione backs up his decission and encourage him to continue researches on Laymil culture. (tNA)

Parker Higgins makes three important suggestions: the first is to ask Joshua Calvert about the place where he found the original electronics artefact. The second is the presuposition that the Laymil, a non-violent culture, did not used weapons against the possessed, but they rather employed a sort of psichological inhibitors and tried to reason with their enemy. The third path for investigation proposed by Parker is to focus on Laymil home planet’s orbital track, in order to find out eventual energetic traces that may explain what happened to it. (tNA)
