Foltwine is an aquatic plant native to the rivers of Amarisk on the planet Lalonde. Although it is a freshwater plant, foltwine resembles terrestrial kelp, consisting of long brown fronds which lie just below the surface of the water.
On the tributaries of the Juliffe, foltwine is a pest, as it tends to clog the entire width of the river and gets tangled in the paddles of the boats, which are the main form of transport in this area. A fission blade is the best way to cut foltwine's tough, slippery strands.
