Bradfield is short for heavy-calibre Bradfield chemical projectile rifle. It equips most elite combat units, namely Confederation Navy Marines.

Bradfields were shown to be almost uniquely effective against the possessed right from the start, when the local naval unit engages the enemy in the Amarisk jungle.
