Asteroid Settlement

Asteroid settlements are asteroids which have been excavated to provide habitable biosphere caverns. The asteroids are spun to provide centrifugal force on the cavern floor, in a similar way to an Edenist habitat.

Asteroids are moved into orbit around planets by a series of controlled nuclear explosions. This is referred to as 'Asteroid Capture'
